Are you looking for ways to help adolescents explore their passions in meaningful, self-directed ways? Join us for our upcoming X-Terms Workshop on November 7–8, 2025, and learn how to bring eXperiential learning to life in your Montessori environment.

What are X-Terms?

X-Terms (or eXperiential terms) are student-led, teacher-supported learning experiences that take place throughout the school year. With a Montessori approach at heart, students collaborate in multi-age groups to design, plan, and carry out studies in areas of deep personal interest—supported by adults, faculty, and community experts. This two-part workshop includes:

-Examples and planning templates
-Former student stories and experiences
-Real-time support as you develop an X-Term plan for your school
