Adolescent Learning & Work: Purpose, Agency, and the Road to Independence

Empower adolescents by helping them understand the significance of their work. This virtual workshop is a call to action for educators, inviting them to craft experiences that ignite curiosity, foster self-direction, and guide young people towards independence with courage and clarity.

In this workshop, we will:

  • Explain how purpose and relevance drive adolescent motivation.

  • Design learning experiences that increase agency and self-direction.

  • Support students in setting goals, managing their work, and reflecting on their progress.

This workshop will be held online via Zoom. The workshop will be given entirely in English. Please note that the workshop is in Eastern Time (New York City) and not recorded. Please use this timezone converter to check your availability to participate in the workshop.
